DIY Multipurpose Bar Cart

DIY Multipurpose Bar Cart

DIY Multipurpose Bar Cart

I’m visiting from The Creative Gallery party. Talk about from drab to fab! Love how you added cork to the top – great idea.

Sherry…that cart is to die for. What I wouldn’t give to happen upon a similar find…and it’s been in your garage all this time? Can I pop over and have a look through your garage too? You know I’m a big believer in spray paint and this gold spray paint made all the difference! Just lovely. I am truly jealous my friend.

Hugs, Lynn

This is really beautiful, Sherry! I can’t believe how it looked before and how it looks now. I would love to have a bar cart, but we downsized and I can’t come up with a place to put one.

I love how you have adapted this and it looks fab sprayed up in gold. the chocolate bar looks very appealing. Amazing what is lurking in our own homes. this was far too good for cement bags! Love you to join me for Trash 2 Treasure. What a great example. Popping by today from T#RealCraftyLinkParty

thank you for joining me for #Trash2Treasure. I still can’t believe this was being used for cement before!

How creative you are. This is gorgeous and looks very graceful and elegant. So many different uses too.

Wow – such a few simple steps to update it and it looks AMAZING! #PinWorthyWednesday

Nice job shopping your own stash, it turned out beautifully! I may have to be on the lookout for one myself the next time I go thrifting.. I’m quite sure we don’t have one hiding in the garage or shed…

Love how you used the cork rounds on top, really stunning

What a gorgeous transformation! It looks like it just stepped out of the glorious Gilded Age. I love it! Thanks so much for linking this up to our Bewitchin’ Projects Block Party last week! You are one of my Features tomorrow over at Recreated Designs. Hugs, Lisa

Oh my goodness – this is beautiful AND functional!! Absolutely love it! I’m also a huge fan of shopping the house and garage first – Thanks for sharing- I found you via the Inspired Design Link Party.

Wow what an absolutely fabulous re-purposing and how doggoned handy can you get? Your cart looks like it came from fancy dept. store, gold paint to the rescue. I am very green with envy. Good thing we have no place to put a cart or I’d be out scrounging for one. Enjoy that beauty even more.

Happy week

Sherry, this is really lovely. I can see how you can use it in so many different ways in your home to entertain. It would be great topped off with a snack and lemonade or even a martini shaker and a couple of classes. It looks really spectacular with your decorating Style. It really cracks me up that you had one and didn’t even know it! Definitely going to shop my own house before I go look for something!

Thank you Nikki! I was kind of shocked when I saw that it was a bar cart under all those bags.

Sherry, this cart is so versatile. Love the gold finish you gave it! How nice that you’ve already had the opportunity to use it for entertaining. Thanks for sharing at Sweet Inspiration!

Sherry, I stopped by to get a link to your bar cart to share and ended up falling in love with your blog! I loved reading your sweet story. Oh, and I noticed the Auburn shirts…WAR EAGLE!

Thank you Crystal and thank you so much for the share. I am following your page too! It is great to connect with an Auburn fan. I don’t know if you have noticed but there are a lot of diy bloggers that are Auburn fans!

Not sure if you are in Alabama, but I have connected with some local bloggers lately. It would be great to all meet someday! I will actually be attending a conference in Bham in September (It’s called Home Grown Bloggers put on by Sweet Tea LLC…you should check it out!)

Thanks Crystal! I am in Alabama too. I am sending you a FB message now.

Beautiful transformation! Love it !

I’m always on the hunt for one of these at the thrift store. Thanks for showing all the options and thanks for sharing this at Celebrate Your Story.

Visiting from Celebrate Your Story. I love, love, love what you did with the cart. It’s funny how you were looking for something you already had. That sounds a lot like me! I also love that you used the cart for a coffee station and hot chocolate bar.

Sherry this is so versatile. The gold paint makes it look really elegant. And the best part that you found it in your home. Those are the best diys!

This is how I made over my DIY Multipurpose Bar Cart from a thrifted bar cart. I have used it for many different occasions, but mainly, I just love the look of a bar cart for home decor.

If you like looking at home decor, you know that bar carts are everywhere! I feel like a bar cart makes your home look elegant. The funny thing is that my husband and I are not big drinkers. Almost all of the alcohol I buy is to cook with. My husband has alcoholism in his family, so he will not drink a drop of alcohol.

So who says you have to use a bar cart for a bar? I love to entertain, and anyone who has been to my house will tell you that I will always have a huge spread of food. I serve so much food that I really need more counter space, and I got to thinking that a bar cart on wheels would be the answer to my problem.

I had been telling my Mother to help me find a bar cart while we were out thrifting. One day, I went out to my garage to get some cement to use for a project, and I realized that the bags of cement were sitting on an old bar cart, and it had wheels! See, you should always shop your house and your garage first.

I gave the cart a good cleaning, and sprayed the cart with paint.

I purchased these cork rounds a few months ago for a project, but I ended up not using them.

I knew that my DIY multipurpose bar cart would sometimes be used for a coffee bar, so I need something to protect the cart top from heat. I laid the corks on top of my bar cart, but I did not glue them down. I want to be able to remove them if I need to clean the top of the cart.

I used it for a hot chocolate and coffee bar at our neighborhood Christmas party.

I used the cart for a graduation party and served iced tea and lemonade on the cart.

This multipurpose bar cart does not only look beautiful in my house, it serves many purposes besides a bar.
