Freelance writing is the ultimate side hustle! I love being about to negotiate my rates and work during the hours I feel most productive. It’s been an absolute game changer for my finances. Congratulations on the course launch!
If you’ve got a little skill and a lot of drive, you can make an absolute killing as a freelance writer. It really is one of the best side hustles out there.
I haven’t done any freelance writing – but that may be in the future As someone with grown kids who stays at home, I am happy to watch little ones for others at times. I think babysitting is a great way for people to keep connected to kids! Looking in to your course now – you have certainly been successful!
Babysitting is a wonderful way to make some extra money, especially if you’re going to be home already! It helps others out and puts a little cash in your pocket.
Hey Greg, your writing points sound the most appealing to me. Who wouldn’t want to become a freelance writer, earn some nice money doing it – and it’s all enjoyable!
There is definitely money to be made by creating online content. I think our course is really going to help people learn how they can find (and keep) these jobs!
Congrats on the launch! So exciting. It’s been totally inspiring to see the success of your site and both of you as writers. I’ll definitely check out the course once the dust settles at the start of the school year.
Awesome! We’d love to have you…and thank you for the kind words of encouragement
Huge congrats on the course launch y’all – that’s awesome! Love these ways to make extra money, they just go to show you that if you’re willing to do something outside the box or that someone else isn’t willing to do, you can make some nice money.
Thanks John! And yes, you can definitely make good money by doing things others would rather not do. These are just the tip of the iceberg.
I’m definitely signing up for the class around this weekend. I really struggled with making a go of freelancing. I managed to make $300 from a divorce site this year and then basically got discouraged and gave up as I couldn’t find new clients.
The two freelance writing classes I’ve taken, they were by people that freelance write, edit, do VA work, coach and sell online classes. I just want to write. Plus I go to college so I don’t need to spread myself too thin.
Awww! Thanks so much! Can’t wait to see you in the class I really think this course is going to help a lot of people find work, make more from the work the already have, and become more efficient. Of course, the student still has to put the work in, but the course is filled with great info!
Have a wonderful rest of the week, and we’ll see you at Earn More Writing!
I think I’ve pretty much done all of those things except drive for Uber or Lyft. The thought of driving a lot of people in LA traffic…shudder! Congrats on your writing course!
Ugh…I could never drive in LA again and be just fine, thank you
Yard Sale is my favorite! I just had one this past weekend and made almost $400. Great way to make some quick cash, and to declutter!

5 Ways to Earn $100 in a Few Hours
Now, back to the lecture at hand. Perfection is perfected so I’m a let ’em understand…er…sorry. Sometimes, when I get excited I start spewing some classic flow…
Anyhoo, let’s get back to the topic of the day. How’d you like to earn an extra $100 in just a few hours? Whelp my friends, there are plenty of easy ways to do just that.
Here’s a fun little list of side jobs that can help you earn $100 in just a few hours. Enjoy!
Babysitting is a great way for anybody, of almost any age, to make some extra cash! It doesn’t take a lot of time and (at the risk of getting throttled in the comments) it doesn’t take a ton of skills either. Simply be available, play with the kids, and make some money
Of course, different types of care require more or less effort. That also means that pay varies. A professional sitter who runs a daycare is (and should) make quite a bit more than a teenager just filling in while the kids sleep for a couple of hours. Experience and location matter as well. If you’re making just $10 an hour, you could easily make $100 in one or two jobs.
Do you have transportation and are willing to help? Running errands for others can definitely put some extra cash in your wallet. There are tons of people needing others to help them out. Some are older, some need physical assistance, and others are busy enough that they’re willing to pay you to help them. Tasks could include things like going to the grocery store, doing laundry, picking up prescriptions, and more.
If you’ve got access to a truck, you might have even more options. People are always looking for help hauling items around town. You can haul away junk and debris, pick up packages and large items, or even assist with a move. The opportunities for picking up odd jobs are endless. Websites like TaskRabbit and Craigslist are a great way to connect with others searching for these types of services.
Cleaning houses isn’t a particularly glamorous way to make money. It’s hard work, and it can be pretty dirty too. That being said, it is a great way to make extra money on your own time. It pays really well, and there are endless opportunities to pick up jobs. Everybody knows that one of the first thing people do with disposable income is to hire a house cleaner. Take advantage of that and make some money!
Before starting her 9-5 gig, Holly used to clean several houses. My grandmother used to clean houses too. The work is hard but the money is good. In our area, you can easily make $100 for one house that takes just a couple of hours to deep clean. Seriously, if you’re looking to make $100 fast, cleaning is a great way to do it. Print some flyers, drive around your neighborhood, and drop them off!
Speaking of things people do with their disposable, yardwork is another way to make a quick $100. And picking up jobs isn’t that hard; just post a couple of flyers on some street signs, knock on a few doors, and put an ad on Craigslist. You’ll find all the work you need. Seriously, rich people can’t wait to stop doing yardwork.
Even though yardwork might seem seasonal, it doesn’t have to be. You can probably parlay it into a (mostly) year-round job, depending on where you live. In the spring and summer, you can obviously mow lawns and do clean up work. In the fall, rake some leaves and do more yard cleanup. Winter time provides the opportunity to shovel snow, so you can still make a little money even when the grass isn’t growing. Around here, most people make at least $20 a yard or driveway…for about an hour’s worth of work. Pick up 5 jobs, and you’ll make a 100 bucks quickly.
Drive for Uber
Want to make some extra money on your own schedule? Try driving for Uber. Experienced Uber drivers can make anywhere from $10-$25+ an hour. Do that for a few hours and you’ll make an extra hundo before you know it.
Getting set up as a driver doesn’t take much. You need to have a vehicle that is no older than a 2000 model (2005 in some cities). Then, sign up and fill out the required information. After passing a background check, you’re good to go. Earn money with your own car by driving for Uber. Sign up here!
Of course, I wasn’t going to finish this article without mentioning freelance writing! Getting paid to write is a fantastic way to make a quick $100. Most client either pay you by the word or a flat fee to write individual pieces. That type of money can add up fast.
Think about it: If you get paid just $100 to write one blog post, you can probably knock that out in 2 hours. That’s $50 an hour! Or, perhaps you can crank out 2 $50 pieces in 4 hours. You’ve just made $25 an hour. That’s a pretty great gig, right?
We’ll teach you how to get your freelance writing career off the ground. Start your six-figure writing career by enrolling in our new Earn More Writing course right now!
Making an extra hundred dollars isn’t hard. There are plenty of jobs available to put extra dough in your pocket. Just look around and put some sweat into it. When you’re willing to do things others won’t, you can turn your effort into dollar signs.
